How Our Romance Audiobooks Are Made
Our romance audiobooks are written and voiced with AI tools, then shaped, edited and checked by the people who run Heard Ever After. This page explains exactly how, what “exclusive” means here, and how we set the heat level on every story.

The short version
Every Heard Ever After story starts with a reader in mind: a woman listening at night, usually on her phone, usually in bed. We plan the story for her, draft it with the help of AI writing tools, edit it, and produce the audio with AI voices made in ElevenLabs.
- Written with AI tools, directed and edited by us.
- Voiced with AI voices created in ElevenLabs. They are not human narrators.
- Published by Kozi Publishing LLC in Orem, Utah.
- Exclusive: the audiobooks live here and nowhere else.
How the stories are written
We decide the shape of each book first: the trope, the couple, the world, the heat level and where the emotional turns land. A rejected-mateRejected mate. A shifter-romance trope where one fated mate refuses the bond, usually early on, and the one who was rejected rises anyway. story, for example, has to earn its rejection and earn the rise that follows.
AI writing tools help us draft scenes and chapters inside that plan. We then read, rewrite and cut, chapter by chapter, for continuity, character voice, pacing and heat. Nothing is published straight from a first draft.
Books may carry a pen name. A pen name is a name on a cover, not a claim about a person: we don’t invent biographies, credentials or awards to go with it.
How the voices are made
Our stories are voiced with AI voices created in ElevenLabs. They are not human narrators.
We choose and direct the voices for each character and each point of view, then listen through the finished chapters to fix pronunciation, pacing and emotion. Where a book uses two voices, one for each lead, we call it duet narrationDuet narration. Two voices perform the book, usually one for each lead, alternating by point of view..
Because the voices are AI, we never present them as human narrators with names, photos or bios. When a voice is credited on a title page, it’s credited as a voice, with this same disclosure next to it.
What “exclusive” means
Exclusive means these audiobooks are made by us and sold only by us. You won’t find the audio editions on other audiobook stores or streaming apps.
Ebook editions are a separate thing: they’re distributed to the big bookstores through PublishDrive. The audio stays here.
How heat levels are set
Every title gets a heat level from one to five flames, and we set it from the finished book, not the cover or the trope. We look at how often intimate scenes happen, how explicit they are, and which dynamics are on the page.
Anything that some readers may want to know first gets a content note: rejection, possessive behavior, violence and more. The full scale and every note are explained in the content and heat guide.
Covers and samples
Covers are dark, cinematic and suggestive, never explicit. Samples you can play on the site are chosen the same way: a taste of the voice and the tension, not the most explicit scene in the book.
